PWB has real 'green' beer Prince George Free Press - March 18, 2010Pacific Western Brewing put a new spin on ‘green’ beer on St. Patrick’s Day. Last year the company announced it would plant a tree for every case of its new beer, Cariboo Genuine Draft. On Wednesday, PWB announced that it will plant 50,000 trees in the Cariboo region later this spring as part of the B.C. Forests for Tomorrow initiative. “Those 50,000 trees will cover 40 hectares,” company produce development manager Paul Mulgrew said. “Those trees will consume 6,080 tonnes of carbon (dioxide) this year. That’s the equivalent of taking 1,500 cars off the road.”
